Senator Lines to join CNX

Germany-based Senator Lines is to join hands with Hanjin Shipping and UASC, as a slot charterer in the China North Express (CNX) service which will be launched in November.

JM Koo, director (Lines Management) of Senator Lines said: ‘Our strategy is to focus on the most profitable markets worldwide and provide our customers with the greatest possible flexibility. The CNX service adds a different set of ports to our portfolio which will provide an additional link between Asia and north Europe.’

The port rotation of this weekly service is: Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Jeddah, Singapore and back to Qingdao. As per reports 8 x 4,000TEU vessels will be deployed on this service. Last week, Senator Lines decided to join Hanjin’s Far East-Middle East Service (FMS) as a slot charterer.
