Hanjin and Senator bring in extra Asia/Middle East/ISC loader
Hanjin and Senator, co-loaders on the Asia/Middle East/ISC trade through a series of services including the Asia Europe Container Line (AEC-UASC-tonnaged), the Europe/Middle East/Asia (EMA) service, and the SINA (Singapore/India/America) service, are bringing in an extra vessel with a round trip sailing to cater for increased volume demands.
The extra vessel is the 1,939 teu Northern Fortune, chartered by Hanjin for two years, which will make a round voyage between Singapore, Busan, Shanghai, Chiwan, Port Kelang, and Khorfakkan westbound, then head back via Karachi, Karachi, Port Kelang and Singapore.
The round trip runs from October 9th to November 14th.
In recent years Senator has closed loss making routes, and concentrated on trades where it saw increased market potential – one of the trades on which it has retained a strong presence is the Asia/Middle East run, where the line is now offering three calls per week (two westbound and one eastbound) over Khor Fakkan to cater for Asia cargo volumes and till needs an extra vessel to cope with volume.
