Senator Lines to boost Asia/Med slots
Germany's Senator Lines will next month double its slot capacity on a weekly Asia/Mediterranean service operated by Yang Ming. The Bremen-based carrier will increase its allocation on the service with the westbound departure of the YM Bamboo from Shanghai on June 6. The service -- marketed by Senator Lines as the New Mediterranean Express (NMX) and by Yang Ming as Asia-Med Express (AME) -- uses seven 5,512-TEU ships on a rotation of Genoa, Leghorn, Fos, Port Said, Jeddah, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Said and Genoa.

Senator Lines doubles capacity on New Med Express
Shortly after increasing capacity on its Mediterranean Express Service (MEX), Senator Lines has announced it will now double capacity on its New Mediterranean Express Service (NMX) from June. The first journey with the increased allocation of the Germany-based ocean carrier is the YM Bamboo, leaving Shanghai on June 6 on its westbound voyage to the Mediterranean.

Nach Ankündigung der Kapazitätssteigerung auf dem Mediterranean Express Service (MEX) stockt Senator Lines ab Anfang Juni auch den New Mediterranean Express Service (NMX) auf. Er wird in Zukunft mit verdoppelter Kapazität laufen. Das erste Schiff, auf dem der deutsche Seefracht-Carrier über das vergrößerte Stellplatzkontingent verfügt, ist die „YM Bamboo“, die am 6. Juni 2008 in Shanghai zu ihrer westgehenden Reise ins Mittelmeer ausläuft.
