Senator Lines changes Alpine agency
Bremen, Germany-based Senator Lines has changed its Alpine region agency from MAT Marine Agencies to CTO Shipping Agencies, located in Basel, Switzerland. We are confident that the concept presented by CTO will successfully lead to a rapid expansion of import and export business in this region of the European market. Senator Lines appoints new agency in Switzerland
Senator Lines has appointed Basel-based CTO Shipping Agencies AG as new partner in Switzerland from April 1, replacing MAT Marine Agencies AG. The CTO agency has with 32 years of experience in the maritime industry. Senator Lines, being primarily a Europe-Asia specialist, has plans to further strengthen the carrier's market position in this heavily freight forwarder influenced country, said a company statement.

Senator Lines expects profit
Hanjin’s 80% subsidiary Senator Lines early this year launched Concept 2007 programme is bearing fruit: the Bremen-based carrier expects to write its 2007 profit in double digit million US dollars after having operated in the red in the previous year. The plan induced Senator to, amongst others, reduce annualised carrying capacity by one-third and its number of service routes to 12 (meanwhile 14).
