Senator boosts Med-Canada link

Bremen-based Senator Lines is to phase in a slightly larger but faster vessel into its two-sling MCS / MCA (Mediterranean – Canada) service, which it runs in partnership with German compatriot, Hapag-Lloyd.

The newly chartered, 20 knot, 2,130TEU, Montreal Senator, will be introduced to the service on May 21.

Commenting on the upgrade, Senator Line’s, director of operational management, Mark Ehlers, said: ‘The increased vessel size and the better speed capability will increase the service quality of our Mediterranean to Canada link.’
